Comments: At Townsville we have a rare situation where two selections have come from the same high-performing system. 3-5 Jazzoom and 3-7 Mister Stevens look to be two of the three chances (along with Fasliyitsa) in the race and I have a leaning to the latter, which looks like it will cross and lead from its wide gate. Townsville 5-1 Back Of House, won nicely last start from a wide gate but hasn't won past 1000m and has to cart 59kg so I'd be wanting at least $6 before getting interested. He has carried 60kg to be placed twice before but this looks a reasonable field. The Albany selection comes from one of my most reliable systems that's been jogging along at a strike rate of 50% for quite a while. However, 3-10 Telepathic seems to be one that will test the ability of this system today. Her form reads 0000092, which is not typically what one likes to see. However, when I've potted this system before it's made a mug of me so we'll see how she goes. Stawell 4-1 Cool World has squeaked home at his last two runs for today's jockey, Neville Wilson, and steps up to the 2000m for the first time today. He's been kept to sprints for most of his career but seems to have enjoyed stepping up to the mile at his last two runs. He's by Danehill's full brother, Nuclear Freeze, so you'd think the 2000m wouldn't be a problem. Going against him are the facts that he's up in class, up in weight and up in distance so I'll be looking for a price of around $3.20. There seem to be a few negatives for the selections today so getting good value is going to be important.
