Comments: Didn't our $25 shot, Fly First, acquit himself well at Rosehill yesterday? Tye Angland gave him an excellent ride on the fence, saved ground around the corner and went strongly to the line to be beaten a sht nk x hd in 3rd spot paying $4.60 the place. In the first there, our pick, Typhoon Zed, settled just off the speed, as suggested, and got home narrowly at $1.80. He's not a bad horse and will be suited when there's more pace in the race. At Ascot, Rocking The Blues was ridden on the pace and dropped out in the last 200m and Ready For Luck couldn't reverse the fortunes of Unlucky System 13 at Moe. The two others I mentioned, Soul Diva and Zoo City Lad, won and ran 3rd at Sandown and Rosehill respectively, which was a good result.

Hobart 1-6 Rhumb Line was beaten as a $2 favourite last time but gets his chance to break his duck in this race, which lacks depth. Bunbury 5-1 Mighty Ronnie won under a hold last time by 3L and looks like the 2000m will suit. The only danger in that race is Blue Hoops, which won in Class 4 company and drops in grade here.
