SELECTIONS - 30 January 2007

POOMA selections (Location Race#-TAB# Horse [system/s])

Rockhampton 1-6 Cyclone George [3]

Non-POOMA selections (and ruffies in red below):

Stawell 5-2

Comments: Our sole selection, Inglewood Doc, got home at a handy $4.10 yesterday against an assessed price of $3.50. He's only a little feller and lumped the 58kg to a comfortable win while giving away 3.5kg to the field. If placed properly and with some weight relief then he could surprise a Class 5 or 6 country field. Rockhampton 1-6 Cyclone George comes out of a long term well performing system that seems to go very well (26/39) at this track. The horse is having its 15th start and is yet to open its account but it has drawn a good gate and should be thereabouts but needs to be strong e/w odds for me to have a go. The topweight in that race was beaten as a $1.40 shot at his first run in the area and he's probably going to start short again, as he's from the John Wigginton stable.
