(* Any updates at Ascot after final details are through there - there are some potential POOMAs - UPDATED and nope, no POOMAs *)

Comments: Wyong 4-5 Carnegie Prince always had the race in control when winning his Maiden at Newcastle last time. The Carnegie breed always get better with time and the step up in trip will suit. Ascot 2-1 Campo Di Grano and 3-10 Westerly Breeze come from a non-POOMA system that has a near 40% strike rate and 20% profit since going live. It didn't quite make the cut for the 2007 POOMA systems. Campo Di Grano is unbeaten away from the city and is yet to win in the city but gets his chance today in the weakest field he's met so far in town. Note that he could become a POOMA after final details are in. Westerly Breeze ran home well at her first start from back in the field for 3rd and then ran a similar race at Pinjarra when steaming home from near the rear to win easily. The outside gate will mean she'll end up going back again and if she shows the same dash as last time then will be there at the end. Hardhearted Hanna is running at Wyong today in race 6. I mentioned her run two starts ago before her Canterbury run when she worked outside the speed and finished 4th. If she can lead and get an 'easy' couple of furlongs then she'll be hard to run down. The favourite in that race, Desert Lad, looks very good and it won't be a wide quaddie leg for me.
