Comments: No surprise, really, that yesterday's POOMA at Rocky, Cyclone George, couldn't get home. He started way too short compared to the first two in the race. That said, I think those first two might be OK and there was a gap to 4th so his turn might not be far away. A few POOMAs today to finish off the month. Wyong 3-3 Danzibaa won its Maiden last start at this track over 1350m and has had a freshen up for today's 1200m assignment. There doesn't seem to be a lot of pace in the race so he should be able to settle handy enough from gate 3 and be in the finish. I'll be looking for around $6 to back him. 6-7 Picture Show was only beaten 1.4L last time after starting from gate 11 of 11 over the 1100m at this track. From the inside gate, he's going to be in the firing line all the way in another race that seems to lack a lot of speed. I reckon we'll get around $6 on this one, as well, which I think is a good price. Pinjarra 4-2 The Kid won well last time and has raced well enough recently to suggest that he can step up a grade today. The problem is that he's drawn gate 1 and nearly all of the races over the straight 1000m at Pinjarra have been by horses coming down the outside so I hope Willy Pike doesn't chance his arm and try and come down the inside in the hope that it's faster.
