Comments: 1 from 3 yesterday returning a skinny $1.70. The one from my favourite system, Preceptor, raced too close to the pace for my liking and ran out of puff in the straight. Lots of good races today. At the Gold Coast I think that quality will stand up. 2-7 Illuminates has a lot of speed and has dodged the Magic Millions, which he was qualified for. He should win this race. 5-3 Kaphero is a 3YO up against older horses but is pretty well treated on the limit weight. I'll be looking for even money or better. 6-2 Publishing looks the right horse at the right time and I expect him to win. The Magic Millions is always a race won by the best horse. Look through the field and see whether there's one that looks likely to be in the mix for the Blue Diamond and/or Golden Slipper and that's the pick. For me, that's 8-1 Husson Lightning. He has all of the credentials needed to win and I'd suggest we're going to get value, as I've assessed him at $2.50.
