SELECTIONS - 4 April 2005

Goulburn 7-7 Lady Zel has had three runs from a spell and should be ready to produce her best at a track where she's had two goes at the trip for a win and a second in Open company. She's drawn a decent gate and is getting 5.5kg from the topweight, Freestyler, which should see her be very competitive. Edge Of The Storm is a very consistent type and looks a danger along with Freestyler.

Murtoa 3-2 Czar Of Macedon is first up here in a much weaker field than he's met so far in his career. First up last time in he ran 4th at Werribee in a metropolitan class R1 race over 1000m and would only need to repeat that run to feature prominently here. He's coming into the race off a 2nd in a Cranbourne trial, has the in form Brad Rawiller on board and has drawn ideally. Gets all the ticks from me. The quinella horses look like Karlotto and Laval.

Murtoa 8-7 Le Harka has only won 1 from 13 but wouldn't need to improve much on his last two runs in Class 2 company to take this out. Gets in really nicely at the weights and, like all the selections today, has drawn to advantage.
