8 from 28 today and some good wins by some of them however quite a few disappointments by some well fancied horses saw us finish the day with a 10.4% loss. Tears ‘n’ Triumph ran unplaced at Caulfield but had a tough run. We’ll follow up on him. Honalee, Middlemarch, No Penalty, Cateclipse and, especially the heavily backed King’s Valour, were all disappointing.

I would be very suspicious of the form from Caulfied today though Roman Arch was terrific under his 61kg. Anwaar (Hawkesbury) and Mahiman (Gold Coast) showed that they are up to winning in town.
