RESULTS - 2 April 2005

At Randwick, Pentelikon started a lot shorter in race 1 than I would have thought but she got the chocolates anyway. Eremein ran well but was beaten into 3rd place. Horses racing on the pace were favoured all day and that didn't help his cause. Fashions Afield ran a nice race but found one better and Grand Armee won with the proverbial leg in the air. Mahtoum did the right thing for us in the Sydney Cup (terrific ride by Darren Beadman) and we finished well in Sydney with an easy win to Striking Victory.

At the other venues we did OK though things would have been really good if Cannyopra ($7.70) had have run a short head faster and J.Sharp on Mustang's Mate ($3.10) at Toowoomba had have been just a tad more patient on the horse instead of taking off when he did and going down in the last hop.

Overall was a good day with 6/13 at a profit.
