SELECTIONS - 3 April 2005

Bunbury 1-8 The Gray Bear drops significantly in class for this very ordinary Maiden event. Obvious dangers are 4 and 5.
Bunbury 5-1 Bold Ransom won nicely last time and this is only a slight step up in grade.

Gundagai 4-2 Dexter's Reward is an in and out customer but this is easier than his last few and he'll be trained to the minute by Barbara Joseph who is having a good run recently.

Launceston 7-2 Browneyed Boy seems to be in a couple of kilos light on recent runs and that's before he gets Hamer's 3kg claim. He's beaten 3,5,6,7,8 & 9 home when they've been in the same race and the others have convictions.
Launceston 9-1 Andrias is a very consistent customer and should be an OK price, as Maxlin Star is an obvious favourite.

Sale 4-6 Mint Royal ran a good race at its first start before being beaten as a short price favourite and then going for a spell. He resumed with a good run at Cranbourne and the step up in trip looks suitable. The mare, Karikuri, has been getting home well and looks the quinella horse.
Sale 5-1 Abitakash looks like a put in and take out job here. May only pay Abitofaprice though.
Sale 9-1 Al Mahara has drawn nicely and has reasonable city form for this class of race however I wouldn't be taking less than $3 here.

Sunshine Coast 3-6 Our Mr Buzz has had 7 starts for 7 placings, which must be frustrating his connections chronically but, really, he would have to win this. Will start short but I'd suggest $1.70 is a fair price.

Wangaratta 1-5 Special Package has had two goes for two good efforts in much harder races than this. First up this time in was hampered before finishing 10th of 15 behind The Jonker beaten 6.6 lengths. Really, she should be too good for these.
Wangaratta 3-13 Temple Of Isis is first up in Victoria after having done her racing in Queensland. Plummets in grade from her run two starts back when finishing less than 5 lengths from the smart Our Sweet Moss and her first up run at Doomben was good. Drawn to get a good run and I expect her to win.
Wangaratta 7-3 Cryptography has won just 2 from 18 but her recent ratings put her right in this race. Should be a good each way price and 4th up from a spell last time in she won at Geelong. I'll anchor her in multiples.
