Lay of the Day: Rockhampton 2-5 Cruiser Loser $2.20. [LOTD 2 from 3]
Today: Today looks pretty average to me. Nothing really outstanding. Track is heavy at Taree so it's to be avoided at all costs. Southern horses making their first appearance in far north Queensland today are Rockhampton 2-2 and 6-7 and those that have had a pipe opener after moving north are 5-7, 5-9 and 6-4. They're all worth watching for market moves.
Yesterday: I managed to pick out the Darwin Cup winner in Nozi. Pity that Barraba Sun couldn't win race 8, as I stood it out in the quaddie. Hit the front and looked the winner but got run down.
POOMAs: Questjeune was the only POOMA and speared away for an easy win at $3.
LOTD: The Lay of the Day, Gem Of The Hills, which was $2 in the morning started at more than $5 and ran home strongly for 4th behind the one we picked.
