There are no POOMA selections today

Belmont 3-13
Canterbury 1-3, 2-4, 5-8
Sandown 6-7

Another day that looks tough to make a quid. I will be having a bet in the first at Murray Bridge, the Carton Steeplechase, because I think the now 11yo topweight, Noah Yarn, only needs to stand up to win the race. Zabeehan will be in the market due to his win three starts back beating Check Lotto by 8L but I reckon I could beat that horse by at least 5L carrying Roger so that's not good form. The improver, and quinella horse in the race, is the bottom one, Story's End. He needs a dry track to show his best, which he gets here today, and his poor-looking form is at the tricky Casterton circuit where he hasn't really gone close previously.

At Sandown it could be a day where all of the favourites win or where they win without names. You'd have to think that if Murcielago can't win race 4 then it'll never win again. In the opening race I'd watch Corporal Congo, as he's down about a million grades having run behind Miss Finland and Follow The Till before going for a break. His first up win was strong. Align Of Chaucer looks the goods in the last though I'd be wary of the topweight today.

There is a sum total of nothing that I'm keen to back at Belmont, Canterbury or Eagle Farm.
