Comments: Townsville 1-1 Cupbearer goes OK and seems to be a bit above these, which is why he has to carry a big weight. The prepost fight of $2.50 seems about right. Townsville 3-5 Mister Stevens goes fast and in three runs from a spell has kept going fast to win comprehensively. Looks likely to win again. The other selection, 3-4 Jazzoom looks the quinella horse there. Townsville 6-1 Cortes is 2/2 at this track and has run well at the trip in stronger races around Brisbane. He also has to carry a big weight but is drawn to get the right run so should go close. Tamworth 9-1 Chain Of Stars comes off a couple of strong wins around the region. She has to overcome the wide draw so I'd want to see pretty big odds to have a go.


Black Book: We've had a big opinion of Townsville 5-10 Saint Sebastian since his won his Maiden. He's pretty well placed in this for a successful first up run.
