Comments: Moonee Valley 3-4 Racy Alice won by from here to over the road at Ballarat last time, bringing up her hat trick. This is the hardest race she's ever contested but it's hard to knock winning form though I will look for e/w odds. Moonee Valley 5-1 Wavelength also gapped them at Sandown last time on a day when those near the front seemed to be advantaged. She's well in after the claim and I rate her a genuine even money chance. Morphettville 6-2 Road Worker is a big, grey lump of a thing that seems to have overcome his early penchant for running 2nd by snaring a few wins. He's had a freshen up but the 1200m might be a touch short for him, as he's more of a grinder than a dasher. I expect he'll run in the first three so might work some trifectas around him. Morphettville 7-1 Deledio has appreciated the recent drop in grade from black type company to win three of her four subsequent runs. Has to carry 59k after the claim (6kg above the limit) and even though he's won with 58kg (4kg above) I think he might be up against it here having to give 5kg+ to the field. Murtoa 5-2 Forest Murmur has run a couple of improved races at his last two and looks like he should have an e/w chance today. Murtoa 8-4 Roll Me should be primed to win at his 4th run from a spell, same as he did last preparation. He goes well at the track and trip and will be nice e/w odds. Murtoa 9-1 Tuscan Prince is only 1/11 but looks pretty well placed in this race and you'd think he'll go close. Newcastle 4-5 Behind comes out of a couple of black type races in which she ran a couple of good placings at Caulfield. She showed speed on both ocassions and you'd have to think that one of the first starters would need to be outstanding for her to get beaten in this.
Black Book: Belmont 2-2 Campo Di Grano is having yet another run at 1000m, his 15th in his 15 run career. He was so far in front on the corner last time that it's amazing he could only finish 4th. He gets in with a light weight here and might keep going. Morphettville 3-1 Grand Duels did the right thing for us last time when first up. He'll take a lot of benefit from the run and should go close again although the odds on price currently on offer is not at all attractive. Newcastle 10-1 Misasio led them up at Canterbury before dropping out first up. That was on a heavy track and the better going should help here.
