Comments: Canberra 7-2 Johanrutz goes very well at the Acton track and steps up here from 1400m to 1750m. He has run OK over 1550m in one of those weak Canterbury Class 3 races so I would want to get e/w odds today to get interested and I think his good track form will guarantee a price of around $3. Wangaratta 10-3 Funover has a poor winning strike rate of 2/28 but might be well placed at the distance after a freshen up of a month, as he seems to go best at around 1600m.
Black Book: Rockhampton 5-2 Laletta jumped quickly in a poor field of maidens, fought for the lead, held the front position into the straight, ignited the afterburners at the 200m mark and disappeared into the distance to win by 6.5L. This is a harder race but if that performance was the real thing then she'll go close again.
