Comments: I am in terrific form. The only one I potted yesterday was the only one that got home - at a useful $5. That's two days in a row I've done that. I should pot horses more often. Doomben 7-1 Apache Cat has drawn perfectly to get a nice run and win at about $1.50. Our black booker, Vormista, looks the danger. It'll be interesting to see how Helideck, which has been fantastic for me recently, goes in this race. Morphettville 4-1 Green Machine won at big odds over this course last time out. Only rises a little in grade and a repeat does would not surprise, as he did the same thing last time in. Newcastle 8-3 Red Hot Prince broke his duck over this course three weeks ago. Has drawn off the track so will need everything to go right in order to get home but should be OK odds. Toowoomba 7-7 Phoenix Belle ran a very good 2nd behind a smart mare in Dirty last time in and then something went wrong when running poorly last time. If she runs up to her previous first up effort then she'll win this.

Black Book: Belmont 7-2 Second Omen has let the side down a few times since going into the black book but I want to keep following her, as she's the sort of horse that could string a few wins together. Goes well fresh but this is short of idea so I expect her to be steaming home late and be in the finish. Doomben 7-11 Vormista ran 2nd to Apache Cat last time, as predicted, but got much closer than anyone expected due mainly to the slow early pace of the race. There's not a whole heap of pace in this race either so she's going to have trouble finding a good run from her wide gate so I think she's racing for 2nd again. Doomben 8-4 Azzaland faces his biggest test today at his first run in metropolitan company. He's been donkeylicking them down at Toowoomba and steps up to 1200m for the first time. He'll run along in front and will have to hold out Woody 'N' Buzz to win but I think he's up to it.
