Fighting Fox is to be ridden today by 3kg claiming apprentice jockey, Robert Makou. My database has him with 157 rides for just 6 winners and 11 placegetters. Disturbingly, he's had 46 rides in town and is yet to run a place! However, he has been on 13 $100+ shots and only 3 have been less than $10 so he hasn't had much of a chance. If you're backing this horse then you'd want to be getting a fair price, which I'd suggest is $3+ in the smallish field. Our pick in the first at Caulfield, Aprisia, opened with IAS at $3 and has drifted to $3.80 at 11AM. The reason is that Folie D'Amour from the Hayes yard opened at $7, quickly was crunched to $4.50, $4, $3.50 and is now $3 with IAS.
